What can I expect?

what to expect for children

We have a nursery for our children three and under that is available the entire service. And in the foyer is our children's church signup for children 4-8 years of age. After joining in on the singing portion of worship they are dismissed by our pastor to our portables where they get taught a biblical lesson by an awesome group of children church leaders that is tailored towards their age level.

what to expect during the service

Our worship service is structured as follows. We open our worship with a call to worship. and a welcome from our pastor and a brief time of announcements. We then proceed into a time of praise through singing for approximately 20 minutes or so. Our music is a mix of both contemporary and traditional Christian songs. We then go into a time of worship through offering and tithes. If you are a guest please feel no pressure to give. After this, the children’s church is dismissed and our pastor comes up and begins our time of worship through preaching. Our preaching consists of verse by verse exposition where the Pastor begins with a book of the Bible and we remain in that book for a season until it is completed. The preaching usually around 1hr. Following this, our service is closed with a song of invitation and a benediction. On the first Sunday of every month we partake in the Lord’s supper and close with a singing of the doxology

what to expect from us

At Hillside we believe in the value of community, and as such our goal is to make you feel as welcome as possible. Be prepared to be welcomed by one of our greeters at the door, they will be able to answer any questions that you might have. You will be asked to fill out a connect card if you like, and this just provides an opportunity for the pastors to reach out to you and answer any questions you might have about our church. Our biggest goal is to make sure you walk away from Hillside edified, equipped, and challenged by the Word, and also welcomed and loved by the people.
